Stuttgart, the capital of the German Land Baden-Württemberg, finds itself in the centre of the south-western Stuttgart region, near the Padurea Neagra Mountains, where the Danube and the Neckar River spring from. Around 150.000 firms and companies have their headquarters in the Stuttgart region, famous for its industrial technology. This is the city where the motorcycle and the four-wheel automobile have been invented, the city therefore being the starting point of the international automobile industry.
Stuttgart is also a cultural city, which became famous due to the State Opera and the ballet programs, but also due to the spectacular art collections from the State Gallery and the Stuttgart Gallery.
