Company History
December 13th, 2004.
Romanian aviation goes through a historic moment: Blue Air is launched, the first Romanian airline company, with 100% private equity.
The company was founded with the desire to create a safe, comfortable and affordable flight alternative. It was a turning point – for the first time in Romania, a company was offering passengers inexpensive flights to the most important destinations in Europe.
Over the years, our pattern has imposed and other flight companies with similar profile were born. However, Blue Air is always a step ahead, this is a fact materialized today through its smart flying carrier unique positioning.
Smart flying is supported by:
• performance fleet;
• highly experienced pilots;
• various and exclusive routes, both in Romania and abroad;
• specialized personnel at all airports where it operates;
• Blue Air agencies;
• over 20 destinations;
• NON STOP Call Center;
• over 2,000 Blue Air partner agencies, both in Romania and abroad;
• maximum cost efficiency and ticket purchasing simplicity: the earlier you buy, the more inexpensive you travel;
• modern aircrafts, checked regularly;
• flight safety and ground security;
• MyBlue SmartMoney, Priority Smart Check-in, Air Ambulance, Corporate, Cargo etc. programs and services.
Although we still offer highly affordable prices, we work every day for our services to be far superior to our competitors. You deserve smart services, especially for you. And therefore, passengers’ demands are found in our services.
All this would not have been possible without the trust of millions of passengers throughout all these years. For this we thank them all!
